A couple from last week-

Been a little behind with the Easter break in there. Alyssa had 4 days off from school so we headed to KC for the break and took some time off from the editing! Here's a couple from last week. I still have a few more from that week, Ill post later today! First, had the sweetest family in, mom is expecting twins, and they have 2 already! The two older ones were so well behaved and such a treat to photograph! How their family will change in a few weeks!

Then had one of my little regulars that is growing so much! Enjoy!

Newborn and graduating-

Although typically it seems like the newborns are blooming one right after another (I have had more newborns than ever this spring all grouped together and another 6-8 coming up), I had a senior last week also. Seniors typically come in the late summer/fall, so it was fun to have all the spring flowers to work with a senior! "L" visited me in the winter for inside shots and came back for her outside ones once it warmed up. I love spring as I am captivated by the color. I try to add color into my work whenever I can. Sometimes its an old shed, or garage door, but the spring has so many natural colors that are endless! L also has the most beautiful skin-tone which just brings the colors further! I also got to use my "ugly-chair" as alyssa calls it. I bought it on ebay for 9.99. Yeah, and it cost me 78 bucks to have it shipped from Florida to hear via greyhound bus. I hadn't read the details about shipping so when I ended up paying almost 100 bucks for the think, I was so hoping it would be worth it, and I think it was!!! The blue adds such a nice contrast to the greens outside!!!!

Then for the newborn-he was such an adorable little guy, and had and incredibly active 18month old! I'm not sure how mom is handling it! I sometimes thing 2 that close would be harder than twins!! Anyway, here's some sweet pictures of your little guy- hope you enjoy the sneak peak!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to all! Just wanted to post some sneak peeks for a couple of sessions before I get involved in all the family stuff over the Easter weekend and don't get it done! First, a couple of little boys. The little guys was as full of energy as the energizer bunny, but it was fun trying to keep up with him to get the shots!! In effort to keep him still I had big brother pick him up by his ankles, and the look on his face was priceless to mom and dad, as if saying "seriously, I get to hold him upside down?!?!?" The resulting picture was one of my favorites!!!

Then a few from a maternity session. Mom is pregnant with #3. Little Miss "T" was not so in the mood to hop in the pictures with the belly, but big sister was. Cant wait to meet the new little guy or gal in a few weeks!!!!

Everyone have a fun and safe holiday!

Ames & Beans

Ames & Beans is "the little stationary shop in the woods". I spent time out there doing a shoot for owner/creator the fabulous Julie Maason. If you haven't heard of Julie, she has an incredible line of custom stationary. Everything from wedding invitations, business cards, thank you cards, to wrapping paper. Julie has a creative flair that really shows through her work, so I was thrilled when she asked me to do some shots of her and her product for her website/blog and adds. I have been doing more and more commercial work which I am absolutely in love with. Its so fun to try to create a "feeling" or "mood" that a client is going for through pictures.

Two Year Olds

Sneak peaks for a couple of two year olds. Two year olds are always the most work. They usually are just finding their independence and don't want to perform on command. Usually if they are going to do it, it has to be their idea. But when you can get them to open up they usually are some of the best photos ever. These two both gave me a run for my money.... but I always have loved a challenge!
