Let it Snow!

Miss "L" was in for senior pictures, and we were casually talking about how great it would be if it started snowing.... It wasn't really supposed to snow last sat. but sure enough we got about 20 minutes of snow to get some great outside pictures! The only thing that would have been more perfect, of course, was if there was snow covering the ground! I don't know about anyone else, but I sure hope we get at least one BIG snow this year!!! Maybe it will keep snowing today!!!

Miss L was so much fun and full of spunk! She even brought her dog and color-coordinated her clothes to match the dog! How fun is that!? Oh how Id LOVE to have half of the dark complexion she has, and even in the middle of the winter!!! Hope you enjoy your little teasers L!

Sneak Peaks from Saturday-

Did some maternity photos with "H" and her husband. We had done just her and the belly before Christmas, but hubby couldn't make it so we scheduled a short session to get him with the belly! "H" is getting very close to baby time, but still looked as cute as she did 4 weeks ago, just a little bigger belly! Gook luck with the little mans arrival! I cant wait for the newborn pictures!!!
Also had an adorable little guy come play. "L" brought her family up from the lake area for the morning. It was fun meeting you guys, and the little man was so cooperative! I felt like I hardly had to work for the good shots!!!

I have some senior shots sneak peaks to post to, but I will wait to post them till tomorrow!

Little Girls!

I got to spend the afternoon last Friday with some super fun little girls! They were so fun and had such great expressions! They even brought their PJ's for some really fun shots! The expressions you get when kiddos are dressed in something comfy like their PJ's are always so fun and "real". I could have spent all day with these two!!

I also wanted to announce that I'm working with the fabulous Bella Snaps uptown! If you haven't been in there, you MUST check them out! The are up on the south side of high street across from the Hallmark store. Patricia has an incredible selection of photo jewelry and gift items. I am still selling the soldiered pieces and purses direct as well, but she has some great other selections! How does it work? Well, I will sell a one-time copyright use at Bella Snaps for 15$ with a 100$ print purchase. Multi use for one photo for 30$ and you can use that photo as many times as you like up there. Simply go visit them and pick out your item, then contact me and Ill send you and invoice and then send the image up to Patricia! With a 200$ print purchase, I will let you use 3 images at Bella snaps free of charge! Hows that for easy?

Sweetness

My first sessions of the year were full of sweetness! My first day back I had some adorable little guys and gals that were the sweetest kiddos! First was little "T". He had the most adorable little ornery smile that lit up the room... we had fun playing tractors! Later in the day was sweet little "A". Little "A" is one of my recent little newborns! There is nothing more sweet than newborn and 3 month old shoots! Hope you enjoy your little "sneak peaks"!

I also thought of one more new thing for the year that I forgot to put in my previous post. The galleries will only be hosted online for 45 days, then the gallery will expire and there will be a 25$ re-hosting fee. This is just due to storage space, there just isn't enough space to store them out there longer than that as much as Id like to keep them out there longer for you guys!

Back At It!!!!

Feels good to be back at it after about 3 weeks off while my hands got back in shape after surgery! Hope everyone had a great holiday season! I'm posting a lot of my faves from that last week before break as there were some really fun ones!

New year brings new goals, plans, and this year with as busy as Ive gotten I am not going to be raising prices much, as I know the budgets are tight everywhere!!! There will be a few increases which I will post tomorrow, but mostly I'm just going to be sticking to all my policies, no exceptions. The last year every time there were delays it was always with me bending policy's and doing things that I just didn't have time to do. so just to give everyone a little heads up! Below is a summary of some of the policies, etc. It is important to me to be able to keep my print prices affordable, so to do this, several new policies, and changed to some will occur.

First, the proof books are one of the few things that are increased. I sold those at cost, and just cant afford to do that this year as much as Id like to.... The price will be 40$ which a 100$ print order, 20$ with a 200$ print order, and free with a 300$ print order. Babyplanners, who purchased the baby plan during 2007 or 2008 can still get the proof book for 20$, however there HAS to be a 100$ order to receive that price. I have not always required this in the past, but due to illegal copying, etc. I am having to stick to this one this year.
Second, is editing, and custom text/wording on prints. I charge 5$ per image for this service, and this will be enforced this year. I will sometimes add text to photos in the set of proofs, and that is not extra, but anything additional requested by the client will be subject to the 5$ fee.
Lastly, is custom cards. These are expensive products from the lab, and require allot of my time to do.. In the future, any custom cards will have to have a minimum of 100$ print purchase before I will start work on any cards.

Other than that, my prices will not change dramatically, as I do want to provide beautiful photos at a reasonable cost. Hope your holidays were wonderful!!
